Digital Paint Practice -I swear, I'm not a monster

    This is Kasomer. He isn't a dragon, actually, but a human knight cursed by a witch to become a giant green feathered dragon whenever it storms. I decided to redraw him for a very important reason. In my first picture of him, which is here-----> ascotia-bluefleck.deviantart.c… he looks sad and fluffy and not really all that scary. In the description of that picture, I told his story, in which whenever he takes the form of a dragon people either try to kill him run from him in terror despite his insistence he isn't a killer. This picture shows what most people see - a scary beast, usually most clearly shown by lightning during the storm that transformed him, with a face that by its nature and shape can't actually show the emotion he's feeling. Just an intense hawk-like stare. He can't speak either, just growl, so that doesn't help.

Did this with GIMP and had a lot of fun with light and color tools.
