''Danny- The Champion of the World'' Tribute

This is my favorite Roald Dahl book but I don't much care for the illustrator who did the pictures in the edition I have. I painted this in a more  'Children's book illustration' style than realistic though I did try to texture the bird's feathers and the grass and clouds a bit. This was part of a project for class but I had been wanting a reason to be able to paint something like this for this book and others that I like. The background is that of somewhere in the Yorkshire Downs, inspired by James Herriot's children's books set in the same place.
